She is imagined as one who journeyed from England to Victoria, landing at Rosemead Hotel and leaving imprints of her life around the house. She is thoughtful, artistic, quietly observant. Through her belongings, memories, and creations, we gain a better understanding of the history and present day context of the hotel. She holds a rose in gesture to the name 'Rosemead,' preparing to press the flower into a book as a symbol of preserving history.
The Flora She Found
Upon arrival, the landscape offered new plant life of native ferns, resilient blooms, and wild texture. This piece captures the sensory detail of her surroundings: lush, layered, unfamiliar but beautiful. A study in observation and belonging.
The Trunk She Arrived With
Laid carefully in a travel trunk we find delicate lace, handwritten notes, tools of comfort and orientation. This restrained pencil drawn style echoes archival sketches, imagining what might have accompanied her across the sea — fragments of identity in transit.
Her Paintings
In quiet moments, she turns to painting the landscape around her. Impressions of the Victoria coastline linger in soft textures and shifting forms. Serene and reflective, they might hang in the bedrooms throughout the structure.

How long does the full process take?
Timelines vary depending on project scope, but most custom art collections are completed within 8 weeks from initial consultation to delivery. For larger projects, we’re happy to plan phased deliveries to align with your project milestones.
Do you offer options for adding hand-embellished texture to prints?
For projects seeking additional richness and depth, we offer optional hand painted overlays on select canvas pieces. This is more about adding transparent texture. This creates a semi-original finish that blends the precision of giclée printing with artisanal, hand crafted texture. Additional service fees would apply.
Are pieces framed?
We do not presently offer framing services. Stretched canvas have a mirror edge design and are suitable to hang with or without a frame.
Can the artwork be cleaned?
Yes. Our canvases are water-resistant and easy to wipe clean, making them ideal for high-traffic areas.
How is shipping and delivery handled?
We offer free shipping across Canada via UPS Ground. Each piece arrives ready to hang.
Is installation available?
While we do not directly provide installation services, we deliver all artwork ready-to-hang with pre-installed sawtooth hangers.
